The Scripps Spelling Bee is a rigorous competition that requires great phonetics and understanding of spelling rules. The winner of this competition goes to Nassau and if they win there, they represent the Bahamas by going to Washington, DC. This competition is no easy feat. Students in Grades 6, 7, and 8 are invited to study words of Latin, Greek, Asian, Russian and other origins to participate in this competition. Kaitlyn Francis (G8), John Lowe (G7), and Destiny Sawyer (G5 - who was specifically invited by the district education office to join) were up for the challenge. Even with exams, they worked hard and studied their words. Congratulations to Destiny Sawyer for placing third in this competition!
Tuesday, February 21, 2017, marked 100 days of learning for our students at Agape. What would they look like after 100 years of learning. To celebrate the students at Agape came dressed like 100 year olds. Their hard work and effort has paid off in more ways than one. Congratulations to all of our hard working students and staff as they celebrate this 100th day of school.

Congratulations to Addison Albury! On February 6, 2017, Agape held an in-house Rotary Speech Competition. The Contestants were from grades 4-6. They were Addison Albury, Briana Gibson, Kelsey Marshall, Gael Britus, Daniel Kelly, and Leah Hunt. They all did a wonderful job explaining how they would be the change at their school and make a difference. Addison presented her speech so well that she was chosen to represent Agape in the district competition February 15th. Her extra work and practice paid off, as she placed 2nd in this competition. We are all so proud of her.
